I acknowledge the peoples – past, present, and future – of the Dkhw’Duw’Absh, the Duwamish Tribe, the Muckleshoot Tribe, and all Coast Salish peoples on whose lands and waters I live and work.

I acknowledge that this country would not exist without the free and slave labor of Black people. I honor their knowledge and skills, stolen due to violence and white supremacy.

I take on the responsibility to continue to work towards justice in solidarity with Black and Indigenous people, and all whose labor and knowledge is unjustly marginalized

In my practice, teaching, and research I strive to be intersectional and inclusive. I take on the responsibility of partnering with colleagues, patients, families, and communities to actively support diverse knowledges and perspectives.
